Anyway, the answer to this question might surprise you. We get hit with asteroids all the time. Like so often that it’s laughable. Like 1000’s times a year.

It’s just that many of them are so small they go unnoticed. Many more of them are so small that the burn up in the atmosphere and never make it to the ground.

The rest of the answer is that there is only a finite amount of matter floating around in the solar system. And there is way less of it now than there was a few billion years ago. I...
